Location of the hill

Main access to the hill is from the A413 London Road which runs from Wendover (N), past Great Missenden to Amersham (S).  The exit from this road to the hill is signposted 'Dunsmore'.  The car park is a (free) National Trust car park at the back of the hill, where the road turns through 90^o.

The hill can also be reached from the Missenden road which runs between Great Missenden and Butlers Cross.  The turning is just north of the double bend in the road at the gates of Chequers.

Do not leave valuables (eg radio equipment) visible in your car in the car park - it is very public.

This is the location of the flying slope in Google maps.  The green area is the hill itself; the N-S line of trees between the greener and browner areas are on the crest.  The ground to the east of these is level.
